According to Spanish outlet AS, UEFA’s disciplinary committee has fined Atlético Madrid €15,000 after fans threw objects during a UEFA Champions League match.

Although Atlético Madrid have already been eliminated from the Champions League, the club still received one final sanction from UEFA. The club was informed of a €15,000 fine following incidents of objects being thrown during the match against Arsenal.

UEFA’s Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body announced the punishment in its latest report. The decision was made under Article 16.2.b, which covers: “the throwing of objects that may endanger the physical safety of persons present or disrupt the proper conduct of the match.”
