Juventus are reportedly stepping up their pursuit of Emiliano Martinez as they continue their serch for a new first-choice goalkeeper this summer. The Turin club views the Argentina international as an ideal addition to strengthen the squad, with head coach Luciano Spalletti believed to be eager for greater quality between the posts ahead of the new season.
Negotiations with Aston Villa, however, have reached a difficult stage due to differences over the financial terms of the deal. Juventus are reportedly proposing an initial loan agreement with an obligation to buy, but the two clubs remain apart on the final transfer fee. While Aston Villa are open to the overall structure, they are seeking a higher valuation than Juventus are currently willing to offer.
To help move the transfer forward, Juventus are said to be hoping Martinez can play an active role in convincing Aston Villa to accept their proposal. With the Italian club unwilling to significantly increase its bid, the goalkeeper's willingness to push for a move could become a key factor in determining whether the transfer can be completed during the current window.
Despite their strong interest in Martinez, Juventus are also preparing alternative plans in case negotiations ultimately collapse. Several experienced goalkeepers are reportedly under consideration, allowing the club to continue its serch without delaying preparations for the upcoming campaign if their primary target remains out of reach.
