Real Madrid have emerged as a serious contender in the race to sign RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, with the talented attacker reportedly open to a move to the Santiago Bernabéu this summer. After an outstanding 2025–26 campaign, Diomande has become one of the most sought-after players in the transfer market, attracting interest from several European giants. Paris Saint-Germain had previously been considered the leading candidate, but Madrid's recent approach has significantly changed the situation.
Reports suggest that Real Madrid have already opened discussions with Diomande's representatives and outlined their long-term vision for the player. The Spanish club is also believed to have presented a contract proposal, which has reportedly impressed the winger. As a result, Diomande is now said to be receptive to the possibility of joining Los Blancos, giving Madrid renewed confidence in their pursuit.
Negotiations with RB Leipzig, however, remain far from straightforward. Real Madrid's opening bid, reportedly worth €90 million plus an additional €10 million in performance-related bonuses, was rejected by the Bundesliga side. Leipzig continue to value their young star highly, recognizing both his immense potential and the security provided by his long-term contract.
With their initial offer turned down, Real Madrid are now preparing an improved proposal in an effort to convince Leipzig to sell. Reports across Europe indicate that the German club could demand a fee in the region of €120 million before considering any deal. The coming weeks are expected to be crucial as Madrid weigh up their next move in pursuit of one of the summer's most coveted attacking talents.
