Liverpool have reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain over a €140 million deal for French forward Bradley Barcola, marking a major breakthrough in their pursuit of the winger. The 23-year-old is expected to sign a five-year contract at Anfield and is awaiting approval to travel to England for his medical. The agreed package includes at least £100 million guaranteed, representing a significant reduction from the £145 million valuation initially demanded by PSG. Barcola has been Liverpool’s leading transfer target throughout the summer and could become the second-most expensive player in the club’s history.

The move would give Liverpool an important attacking reinforcement as they reshape their squad following Mohamed Salah’s departure to Turkish club Trabzonspor on a free transfer. Barcola played a key role in PSG’s successful 2025-26 campaign, helping the Parisian side retain both the Ligue 1 and Champions League titles. The transfer would follow the arrival of Alexander Isak from Newcastle United last summer for £125 million, making Barcola another major investment as Liverpool look to maintain their competitiveness at the highest level.

The winger’s move to Anfield could also have consequences for other attacking players within the squad. Cody Gakpo is reportedly attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, and Barcola’s arrival could influence Liverpool’s decision over his future.
