Persib Bandung captain Marc Klok has expressed his desire to remain with the club until the end of his professional football career. With his current contract set to expire at the end of the 2026–2027 season, the 33-year-old midfielder is hoping to receive a new offer from the club's management. Klok remains committed to Persib and is eager to continue contributing to the team's success in the coming years.
Klok previously signed a two-year contract extension in July 2025, at a time when several players were leaving the club. His decision to stay reflected his strong commitment to Persib during a period of significant changes within the squad. Now entering the final season of his agreement, the naturalised Indonesian international remains determined to extend his stay and finish his playing career in Bandung.
Since joining Persib at the beginning of the 2021–2022 season after leaving rivals Persija Jakarta, Klok has developed a strong connection with the club and its passionate supporters, known as Bobotoh. Over six seasons, he has become an influential figure in the team and played an important role in a successful period for Persib. The club's three consecutive top-flight league titles over the past three seasons have further strengthened his desire to remain part of its history.
Despite his clear intentions, Klok has yet to receive a formal proposal for a contract extension from Persib's management. He is currently waiting for an update while maintaining a positive outlook about his future at the club. Encouragingly, conversations with the coaching staff suggest that he remains an important part of their plans, with assistant coach Igor Tolic reportedly expressing his wish for the midfielder to stay.
Klok's priority is to continue helping Persib compete for major honours while maintaining the strong relationship he has built with the club and its supporters. His loyalty and desire to retire in Bandung underline how important Persib has become throughout his career. Although the final decision rests with the club's management, Klok remains hopeful that both sides will reach an agreement that allows him to continue wearing Persib's blue jersey for the foreseeable future.
